We believe that some of the most rewarding work is done when we give our time and talent to a worthy cause. Affect’s commitment to social good is not only reflected in our philanthropic efforts as an organization but also through the ways in which we encourage our employees to take an active role in the causes they are passionate about. Our Affective Giving Program is designed to foster a culture of responsible corporate citizenship and to support our employees’ contributions to charitable organizations.
The Affective Giving Program includes three core components:
Affect offers employees two days off per calendar year to volunteer for charitable causes with 501 (c)(3) organizations. This program allows our team members to invest their time working with nonprofit organizations they feel most passionate about.
Team Opportunities for Social Good
Each year, we offer our team members opportunities to give back to worthy causes as a group. Some of these opportunities have included a ‘Winter Wishes’ program (collecting toys for underprivileged children), an annual winter coat drive, hosting a birthday party for homeless children at the Jennie A. Clarke Residence in NYC, donating books to children through Family-to-Family’s One Book at a Time program, acute disaster/emergency relief efforts and pro-bono work for nonprofit organizations.
Having been blessed with extraordinary achievements and successes since we opened our doors in 2002, we celebrated our 10-year anniversary by giving back, donating $10,000 to a group of charities selected by members of the Affect team.
To increase the impact of our employees’ contributions to organizations they feel most passionately about, Affect began a Matching Donation Program. Under the auspices of this initiative, Affect will match charitable donations of up to $250 made by full-time employees to 501 (c)(3) organizations per calendar year.
