At Affect, Account Executives (AEs) liaise with clients on a daily basis and serve as key contacts with members of the media, industry analysts and other key influencers. AEs work with other core team members to develop PR/marketing/social media plans and ensure the successful and timely completion of projects. AEs have a strong understanding of media relations, a solid network of media contacts and an excellent success rate of placing stories. They also possess strong written and verbal communications skills and have experience writing and editing a variety of PR, marketing and social media materials. Active participation in social media is expected and required at this level. AEs will often be responsible for managing components of a client’s social media engagement. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as key client contact
  • Interface with media, analysts and other key influencers
  • Write a variety of PR and marketing materials including, but not limited to: press releases, pitches, byline
  • articles, case studies and marketing copy for brochures, advertisements, direct mail campaigns and
  • websites
  • Disseminate press releases and proactively reach out to media/industry analysts
  • Manage speaking and awards programs for clients
  • Help develop strategic PR and Marketing plans
  • Respond to journalist queries (HARO, Profnet, PRSourceCode etc.)
  • Manage and oversee client weekly agendas, recap reports, clip and monthly reports
  • Assist with new business research
  • Lead in social media engagement for clients and agency
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
  • 3-5 years in Marketing/PR
  • Agency experience required
  • Technology and B2B experience highly preferred
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong media/analyst relations skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms for business use
  • Team oriented and ability to take the lead on relevant projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Vocus, Cision or other PR programs a plus

They also possess strong written and verbal communications and time management skills. Active participation in social media is expected and required at this level, as SAEs will often be responsible for managing components of a client’s social media engagement. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 4-6 years of experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervising 1-2 accounts or acting as key member of large accounts
  • Assist in management and training of account team members
  • Develop strategic relationships with clients
  • Assist in strategic account planning including developing scope of work, supporting account profitability and developing new materials

At Affect, Account Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day management of their respective accounts, including setting specific strategic goals, meeting client expectations, training and leading staff members, developing effective public relations/marketing/social media plans and goals and successfully executing campaigns. They possess a sophisticated understanding of media and analyst relations and know how to develop lasting and fruitful partnerships with the key influencers in their clients’ industries. Senior account executives/account supervisors are strong writers and have a proven track record of success developing compelling content for a wide variety of marketing and PR materials. An AS will also be responsible for managing and mentoring other team members, leading new business research and proposals, networking and providing the agency with new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5-8 years in public relations, marketing and social media
  • 1-2 years of leadership and/or account management experience
  • Technology and B2B experience highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent media relations skills
  • Network of media contacts
  • Team-oriented
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, URL shorteners, web analytics, etc.
