Account Executives (AEs) liaise with clients on a daily basis and serve as key contacts with members of the media, industry analysts and other key influencers. AEs work with other core team members to develop PR/marketing/social media plans and ensure the successful and timely completion of projects. AEs have a strong understanding of media relations, a solid network of media contacts and an excellent success rate of placing stories. They also possess strong written and verbal communications skills and have experience writing and editing a variety of PR, marketing and social media materials. Active participation in social media is expected and required at this level. AEs will often be responsible for managing components of a client’s social media engagement. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
  • 3-5 years in Marketing/PR
  • Agency experience required
  • Technology and B2B experience highly preferred
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong media/analyst relations skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms for business use
  • Team oriented and ability to take the lead on relevant projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Vocus, Cision or other PR programs a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as key client contact
  • Interfaces with media, analysts and other key influencers
  • Writes a variety of PR and marketing materials including, but not limited to: press releases, pitches, byline
  • articles, case studies and marketing copy for brochures, advertisements, direct mail campaigns and websites
  • Disseminates press releases and proactively reach out to media/industry analysts
  • Manages speaking and awards programs for clients
  • Helps develop strategic PR and Marketing plans
  • Responds to journalist queries (HARO, Profnet, PRSourceCode etc.)
  • Manages and oversee client weekly agendas, recap reports, clip and monthly reports
  • Assists with new business research
  • Leads in social media engagement for clients and agency
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance

SAEs proactively seek out solutions to challenges faced within client teams and communicate updates and best practices without prompting. In addition, members at this level will assist in managing and training of other team members. SAEs have a strong understanding of media relations, a solid network of media contacts and an excellent success rate of placing stories. They also possess strong written and verbal communications and time management skills. Active participation in social media is expected and required at this level, as SAEs will often be responsible for managing components of a client’s social media engagement. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 4-6 years of experience.

  • Assists in management and training of account team members
  • Develops strategic relationships with clients
  • Assists in strategic account planning including developing scope of work, supporting account profitability and developing new materials
  • Clearly and proactively communicates updates and best practices to clients and make recommendations for overcoming challenges on client accounts
