During the holiday season each year at Affect, we love to spread the holiday cheer with several fun and festive activities. We’ve seen over the years how much this helps our team bond, and how it really lifts office morale to new heights. We would recommend it to any company!
To get everyone into the spirit, towards the end of the day, the Holi-DJ starts playing festive songs throughout the office. The Holi-DJ changes every day, leading to a variety of songs and genres.
In addition, Affect holds several yearly traditions such as the desk decorating contest. Our winner this year transformed her desk into a fireplace, complete with yule logs, stockings, a mini tinsel tree and a paper fire. We also had another exciting “Secret Snowflake” party (our very own version of Secret Santa)! Team members came together to listen to holiday music exchange thoughtful gifts and enjoy drinks and snacks.
This year the gift-exchange was followed by a delicious gourmet family-style holiday dinner with the whole team at the elegant bistro, Sotto 13 in NYC’s west village. It was a beautiful evening and a great way to lead the company into the new year.
