What we looking for

The Account Executive liaises with clients on a daily basis and serves as key contacts with members of the media, industry analysts and other key influencers. The Account Executive works with other core team members to develop PR/marketing/social media plans and ensures the successful and timely completion of projects. The incumbent in this role has a strong understanding of media relations, a solid network of media contacts and an excellent success rate of placing stories. They also possess strong written and verbal communications skills f have experience writing and editing a variety of PR, marketing and social media materials. Active participation in social media is expected and required at this level as AEs will often be responsible for managing components of a client’s social media engagement.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Technology and B2B or healthcare experience (Preferred)
  • 3-5 years in PR
  • Agency experience
  • 1-2 years of leadership and/or account management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms for business use
  • Strong media/analyst relations skills
  • Team oriented and ability to take the lead on relevant projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Vocus/Cision, or other PR programs
  • Acts as key client contact
  • Interfaces with media, analysts and other key influencers
  • Writes a variety of PR and marketing materials including, but not limited to: press releases, pitches, byline articles, case studies and marketing copy for brochures, advertisements, direct mail campaigns and websites
  • Disseminates press releases and proactively reaches out to media/industry analysts
  • Manages speaking and awards programs for clients
  • Helps develop strategic PR and Marketing plans
  • Responds to journalist queries (HARO, Profnet, PRSourceCode etc.)
  • Manages and oversees client weekly agendas, recap reports, clip and monthly reports
  • Assists with new business research
  • Leads in social media engagement for clients and agency
