  • No. We believe that every day where you reduce or eliminate your use is a positive step in your journey. You will work with your care team to create a plan and goals that work for you. We will help you track your progress and support you every step of the way, no matter what.

  • Affect is designed for people with substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioids, stimulants, and more. The program is available to adults (18+) in participating states and is covered by many Medicaid and commercial insurance plans.

  • Yes. When clinically appropriate, Affect providers can prescribe FDA-approved medications like buprenorphine (Suboxone), naltrexone, or others to support recovery from opioid, alcohol, or other substance use disorders. Medication is combined with therapy and recovery coaching for a full-spectrum approach.

  • Absolutely. Affect complies with all HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations to ensure your privacy. Your information is never shared without your permission, and all communication and records are securely encrypted.

  • Everything is entirely virtual, so you can do it from the convenience of your home or work. You’ll meet with licensed therapists and medical providers via secure video sessions right in the Affect app. You can also message your care team between sessions.

  • In most states, initial appointments are available within 48 hours. You can get started right away and begin to feel better and take your life back.
